ASI Wins Contract for Coordinating Army Field Medical Units with Unmanned Air Vehicles for Evacuation and Resupply ROSWELL, Georgia, February 8, 2007 – Applied Systems Intelligence, Inc., (ASI) of Roswell, GA announced today that it has been awarded a $100,000 contract from the Office of the Secretary of Defense for the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, Fort Detrick, MD. The Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract is to develop an intelligent control architecture based on ASI’s c2it associate system technology to provide a UAV-equipped medevac team the ability to autonomously coordinate activities in a combat environment. The goal of this effort is to provide a level of integrated intelligence that allows field medics to collaborate with unmanned medical assets in a dynamic, hostile situation to save more lives and increase the effectiveness of combat medical operations.
