ROSWELL, Georgia, October 18, 2005 – Applied Systems Intelligence, Inc., (ASI) announced today that it has been awarded certification for software development under the Capability Maturity Model Level 3 (CMM-3) from the Software Engineering Institute, a branch of Carnegie Mellon University.
The certification evaluation was led by Ralph Williams, president of Cooliemon, LLC, who stated that ASI was well prepared for the appraisal process. Dr. Norman Geddes, ASI’s CEO, said, “This prestigious rating positions ASI for additional new business and growth.” The CMM® standards establish a benchmark for judging, in a repeatable way, the maturity of an organization's software process and comparing it to the state of the practice of the industry. CMM® can also be used by an organization to plan improvements to its software process. It also reflects the needs of individuals performing software process, improvement or process assessments; is documented; and is publicly available.
