ARRIS Selects ASI to Augment its ERP System

Suwanee, Georgia, March 14, 2005 – ARRIS, one of the world’s leading suppliers of next-generation voice, video and data communications equipment for the cable industry, has selected the eValue® system from Applied Systems Intelligence, Inc. (AI) to integrate supply chain management solutions into its existing ERP system.  The goal of the project is to deliver online collaborative tools in the form of advanced supply event management, supply chain visibility, decision support and sales support in order to streamline targeted operations and decrease costs.

ARRIS outsources much of its manufacturing and needs constant information flow from its manufacturing partners, according to Jeff Milway, ARRIS vice president of operations. ASI solutions allow ARRIS to share purchasing, production and inventory data across multiple locations.

The ARRIS implementation comes on the heels of ASI’s strategic decision to bring advanced decision-aiding software to the manufacturing sector. “Manufacturing is an increasingly competitive environment, where close collaboration across the supply chain is vital to a company’s success,” said Dr. Norman D.
