AATT – Advanced Aviation Transportation Technologies
ADS-B – Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast, systems in which aircraft, other vehicles and obstacles broadcast messages, on a regular basis, which includes their position, velocity and possibly other information.

ASIPerformer – Constructs applications that execute multiple parallel-situated scripts enabling the system to take action on behalf of user.
AsiPlan – PreAct® Activity Planner; supports construction of dynamic planners to support the Associate in achieving its goals.
AsiSMI – PreAct® Shared Model of Intent – Interpreter that supports large-scale, multi-agent models of activity-based or knowledge structures.  This module assesses the users’ intentions when they are interacting with an Associate.
Associate – A comprehensive intelligent software system, providing full support for active information collection, assessment, planning, plan execution and coordination with multiple humans and other inanimate associates.
Associate System – A system, comprised of a human operator and one or more Associates (above), which attempts to provide complete task coverage within a specific domain by allocating functions to both the human and associate(s).
AUCTIONEER – An ASI project developed for the Air Force Research Laboratory and DARPA.  The project explored decentralized control where a flight of eight UAVs self-organized to distribute tasks among themselves and improve mission performance.

CAA – Claims Analyst’s Associate
CMM-3 – Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Level 3. Less than 350 businesses in the United States presently hold this distinction.
CNGraph – The PreAct® concept graph library; constructs a real-time dynamic concept graph; represents the state of a system and its environment.
CRO – Chief Risk Officer
CSScript – The PreAct® situated script library; defines the structure for creating situated scripts and sequences of primitive system actions.
CTA – Collaborative Technology Alliance program, funded and directed by the Army Research Laboratory (ARL). The Robotics CTA focuses on the technology required to permit inanimate systems (or sub-systems) to perform in a seemingly human fashion.

FCS – Future Combat Systems: a joint-services, networked system of systems (one large system made up of 18 individual systems plus the network and soldier-often referred to as 18 plus one plus one). A soldier, linked to advanced communications platforms and sensors, has access to data that can provide a much more accurate picture of what’s going on around him/her.
